Fireplace panel – SkamoEnclosure Board is a durable, safe and heat-resistant panel for fireplace surrounds. Skamol has introduced an innovative, new fire-resistant panel for fireplace surrounds, which forms part of the SkamoEnclosure technical insulation systems for fireplace surrounds.
The SkamoEnclosure Board, a calcium silicate board, is used in the construction of fireplaces whilst also acting as their insulation. It creates a lightweight and rigid structure and is easy to work with using traditional joinery tools. It is installed using a special fire-resistant adhesive and TD screws. The board is an excellent insulator against the high temperatures inside the fireplace surround, ensuring that temperatures on the outside remain at a safe level. It replaces traditional solutions based on plasterboard and mineral wool. It is ideal for insulating wooden beams, side walls and the wall behind the fireplace.
